History Adventures — Life Through the Ages

10-Week Cross-Curricular Enrichment Program

Step back in time and discover how people really lived, from the Ancient Egyptians to the Anglo-Saxons and other fascinating periods of history.

Our main project takes children beyond dates and facts to investigate the homes people built, food they ate, clothes they wore, jobs they did, how children lived and learned, and the challenges of everyday life.

History becomes the starting point for learning across subjects. Children will incorporate Language Arts through storytelling, writing and discussion; Math through measuring, timelines, trade and problem-solving; Archaeology through examining evidence and artefacts; and Engineering through designing, building and testing structures and inventions inspired by the past.

And the project is just one part of their enrichment day.

Every day also includes:

🧪 Hands-on Science — experiments, investigations and discovery
🏃 PE — movement, games, skills and teamwork
🌿 Outdoor Time — fresh air, exploration, play and friendships
🧵 Creative Elective — choose from Sewing, Crochet or Gardening & Nature

It’s a varied, hands-on day where children can investigate, create, experiment, move, spend time outdoors and make friends — while learning across multiple subjects.
